"Reading Inspiration Day" in English, is a special day
celebrated in India every year on October 15th.
Why do we celebrate this day?
We celebrate this day to honor the birth anniversary of a very
great person, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He was a famous scientist and also served as the 11th President of
India.
Dr. Kalam was a person who
loved to read and write very much. He believed that Books are the best friends
and that reading is very important for gaining knowledge, developing
imagination, and becoming successful in life.
