Children’s
Day is celebrated on November 14th every year in India, in honor of the birth
anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He loved
children very much and believed that they were the true strength of a nation.
He often said, “Children are the
foundation of the future.” Pandit Nehru wanted every child to have a bright
future and a good education. He understood that the well-being of children
directly affects the well-being of a nation. That’s why he worked tirelessly to
ensure children had the opportunities to learn, grow, and dream big.
On this special day, we celebrate our dreams, our rights, and our
potential. We are the future of the world, and the world looks forward to the
amazing things we will do. But to make our dreams come true, we need the
support of our teachers, parents, and society. They guide us, teach us, and
provide the love and care that we need to succeed. Children's Day is also a day
to remind everyone about the importance of child rights. Every child has the
right to education, the right to safety, and the right to be happy. No child
should ever feel neglected, unsafe, or unwanted. We all deserve the chance to
live in a world where we can smile, play, and learn
On this day,
we should also remember that every child is unique. Each one of us has
different talents, interests, and dreams. Some of us are good at sports, some
are good at arts, some are brilliant at math, and others are great musicians.
What matters is that we encourage each other, appreciate our differences, and
support each other in reaching our goals. We also need to remember that
education is one of the most powerful tools we have to build a better future.
It opens doors to new opportunities, helps us understand the world around us,
and gives us the knowledge we need to solve problems and make a difference. We
should never take education for granted. Let’s value every lesson, every
teacher, and every opportunity to learn.
This Children's Day, let us promise
to:
1. Value education and work hard to learn as
much as we can.
2. Respect and care for each other, no matter
where we come from or how different we are.
3. Protect our environment so that the future
we inherit will be clean, green, and beautiful.
4. Be kind and compassionate, because every
act of kindness makes the world a better place. As children, we have the power
to dream big and achieve great things. Let’s aim high, work hard, and always
remember that we have the potential to change the world for the better.
Happy Children’s Day to
everyone! Let’s continue to dream big, smile often, and work together to create
a better world for us all.
